Hello everyone it’s me again Mark Felix with another edition of Advanced Search Engine Optimization Techniques for Keyword density, and while I have never considered myself an expert in the field I have had success with a few of these methods. Every time I write an article especially on SEO I try not to dwell on the obvious, so for those of you reading this article with no SEO experience I would advise that you do some research on the basics which will help you understand exactly what I’m going to be discussing here.
The technique I am going to discuss here is keyword density; there is so much discussion on this area that it’s impossible to really know what is right or wrong and how to really apply the technique to your webpage, so I’ve come up with a simple solution to this problem.
It been said numerous times, that when building content one should focus on the reader and not the search engine and while I do agree with this I also know that both are very important and deserves the same amount of attention although I would lean a little more to the search engine.
So here I am writing this article and I’ve only used the phrase “keyword density” once in the third paragraph but when you read this article you will notice that the phrase will be place many times throughout this article, do you know why?
Well, I’m doing exactly what’s obvious, writing for you the reader at this moment but I know that if I depend on the search engines to pick up this article and rank it in the top ten for the phrase “keyword density” then it has to have the right density for that to happen, but what is the right keyword density?
Keyword Density in my opinion is the number of times a particular phrase has been used on a page, and while most people would suggest that your phrases should be placed in your title, keyword tag, description tag, h1, h2, alt tags, title tags, url tags, and so many other areas that you can think of it only boils down to one thing.
Are you getting anxious? Patience is a virtue my friend, something my mother use to tell me quite often. OK before we get to that one thing I just want to ask a question about keyword cloud, how important to you think it is? Very Important, Not Very Import, to some extent it’s very important but if the keyword phrase is more prominent because of spamming then its not. So when you come across a site with the app pay attention to it.
Not long ago I was working on one of my sites and I realise that the SEO software I was using was not giving me the results that I needed although the makers even promise a money back guarantee if you don’t get one of your keywords in the top ten. Then I suddenly realise that although I was doing everything as suggested by the software, the one thing missing was commonsense.
Most of these SEO software work on averages, by taking the top ten sites and scoring them on every element then suggesting that you try and fit somewhere in the middle, so if one site scores 50 and another scores 45 then you should try and score 47.
Good idea but there are too many ranking variables so its not always possible to achieve top ten ranking based on this technique because sites rank high for many different reasons, Fantastic Backlinks, Great Content, Niche, Good HTML validation.
OK, now were almost to heart of this article on keyword density and the simple method that I use which is producing great results is now yours to ponder. Many of you would have come across this little app but not really realise how important it is because its so obvious, free, simple but trust me when I tell you it works every time.
The site I have been using is SEO Chat, there are many other apps like this one but some excludes keywords in various areas but SEO Chat shows you the total number of times the keyword phrase was used, here is the link

If you analyse your site for any of its keyword density, the idea is to have that keyword density at the very top of the list. Now I can’t tell you how many times you should use your keyword on your site but I can tell you that spamming will do you more harm than good, so the idea is to analyse other competitor sites to see what there keyword density is and try to out rank them.
Now if you are sceptical about my simple solution I don’t blame you because it took me months to really realise how simple and easy it is to get better or higher rankings. After reading this article on keyword density why don’t you try it out, take any site that ranks high for a keyword phrase and see where that phrase rank on the list. It’s probably going to be the first one on the list.
I hope this little insight or simple solution gets you the ranking you deserve and if it does then send me an email, it would make me very happy.
